Types of business apps

null

Front-End Applications

Users directly interact with these apps.

The front-end app is where users interact with the system by capturing data, view reports, transactional data and logs or action specific events to drive the app workflow. Designed by UX professionals to be accessible, and easy to use.

null

Backend Applications

Function behind the scenes and manage background processes.

A back-end application supports front-end user applications by exposing services, orchestrates app integration and workflow logic, and interfaces with external data sources such as APIs or databases.

null

Service-Based Applications

Serve as an integration point for other applications or systems by providing independent services that perform a specific activity.

A Service-based application exposes services through common interfaces such as RESTful APIs, allowing them to be rapidly incorporated by other applications. Each service encapsulates the data and logic required to perform a particular function

Our approach

Summary

Digiata conducts detailed Requirement sessions and system analysis, ensuring comprehensive understanding of client needs. Technical design documentation is then crafted, evolving through continuous refinements and additions. Unit test documentation is established to validate system functionality. Development tasks derived from requirements and designs are organized into a backlog, accessible to clients via online project management tools. Finally, a Project plan is created, outlining the implementation strategy and go-live milestones.

Activities
Requirement sessions & system analysis
Detailed requirements are unpacked based on the high-level proposal outline.
Further systems analysis is potentially required in order to finalise requirements.
Technical design documentation
Core system design documentation is created based on requirements
Continuous refinements and additions are made during the project delivery iterations.
Unit test documentation
Basic test cases are created based on technical designs.
Backlog creation
Requirements and technical designs result in development tasks that will deliver the functionality.
These tasks are loaded on an online project management and tasking application that can be accessed at any time by the client.
Project plan creation
Implementation roll-out strategy and go-live milestones are defined.
Summary

Digiata adopts an agile approach by organizing backlog tasks into bi-weekly sprints. Our team diligently completes development items, conducts thorough unit testing, and undergoes peer review for quality assurance. Scheduled UAT deployments ensure seamless functionality testing. Daily project check-in sessions keep stakeholders updated on progress and swiftly address any potential blockers.

Summary

Digiata ensures a seamless transition to the final stages of project completion by offering comprehensive end user training. Our team conducts hands-on sessions to equip clients’ end users with the necessary skills and knowledge. For UAT testing, the client takes charge, creating test cases, scripts, and plans while assigning resources. Defects are efficiently managed through our issue tracking system, with Digiata reviewing and addressing incidents until resolution. Finally, the client conducts UAT testing and provides sign-off, ensuring the project meets their expectations
