The MDCS Skills Academy deploys skills development spend for black employed and unemployed individuals, in the form of learnerships, apprenticeships, internships and SETA-accredited training programmes as well as bursaries toward Higher Education institution studies. The MDCS support from Digiata helps disabled learners progress from being trainees in the workplace to becoming fully-fledged employees through a workplace skills development programme, consisting of eight modules designed to help students operate confidently as junior managers.
Upon completion, learners are capable of a range of business and workplace related activities, from coordinating with others, to junior management functions, to research and understanding the impact of current affairs on a business sector, to managing time and processes, to motivation and inducting new team members.
