Challenges
A large investment management company required a dashboard with a consolidated view of the performance of all its funds. They work with individual fund performance data which is tracked and reported manually and continuously had to gather the data of all the individual funds and put it into a central spreadsheet to view their overall performance and potential short comings. Some KPIs that need to be reported on were NAV, fund price movements, top and bottom performing funds, performing Mancos, Investment performance per fund and rate of returns.
The Solution
The Digiata Team would be sent in with the PowerBI application framework with the intention to consolidate all the funds’ performance metrics onto a central dashboard. This dashboard will be able to read the data from multiple sources and display the data in an easy-to-read format for investment managers and shareholders. It will allow the users to be able to see high-level performance metrics as well as drilling down into more specific metrics on a per fund basis.
The Result
Digiata leveraged its PowerBI capabilities to consolidate all the funds’ performance metrics onto a central dashboard. This dashboard gathers data from multiple sources and reports on KPIs for funds, Mancos and advisors. Users now have a consolidated view of performance metrics across funds, with a view into top and bottom-performing funds, as well as drilling down into more specific metrics per fund including fund performance over time periods that look at NAV, units invested, price movements, asset value and trade confirmations.
